Kayle Shulenberger, MA, CCC-SLP, is in private practice in Seattle, Washington. In addition to private practice she has worked in hospitals, nursing homes and as a clinical supervisor at Western Washington University. She is also certified in English as a Second Language and has taught English as a second language in Kyoto, Japan. Her current caseload includes preschool and school age children with motor speech disorders and language disorders. She has also been developing, with Alice Stroutsos, clinical materials for PROMPT trained clinicians.


Alice Stroutsos, M.S. CCC-SLP, is a private-practice clinician in Seattle, Washington. Alice is a certified member of ASHA and has had 20 years experience working in hospitals and clinics. She has taught and supervised graduate students from the University of Washington and Washington State University. Her clinical areas of expertise include evaluation and treatment of pre-school and school aged children with speech motor production disorders, language disorders and pervasive developmental disorders. Alice has been using PROMPT since 1996, and is currently developing therapeutic and educational materials for use with PROMPT.


Deborah A. Hayden, M.A., CCC-SLP, SL-P(C), Reg. CASLPO is the Founder and Executive Director of the PROMPT Institute located in Santa Fe, New Mexico and a Adjunct Specialist in the Department of Audiology and Speech Sciences at Michigan State University. She received her graduate degree from San Diego State University and has had extensive clinical and management experience in programs dealing with severe communication disorders. Most of her research has been in the field of developmental and adult speech production disorders; phonology, hearing impairment, dysarthria and apraxia. She founded the PROMPT Institute for the purposes of treatment, training and research in speech production disorders. Her current research efforts have been directed towards norming and publishing the VMPAC (Verbal Motor Production Assessment for Children), now available through The Psychological Corporation, with colleague Dr. Paula Square. She is also author of the EMCS (Early Motor Control Scales) with colleagues, Dr. Amy Wetherby, Julie Cleary, and Dr. Barry Prizant.
